Cashew Processing Facility Visit – Benin

USATD continued its on-the-ground engagements in Benin with a visit to a cashew processing facility operating within established international supply chains.

The facility focuses on primary cashew processing at origin, including deshelling, with shelled kernels prepared for export. Roasting and final processing are completed in the United States, reflecting a value chain where different stages of production take place across markets.

During the visit, the USATD team met with company leadership to discuss operations, export experience, and the facility’s role within regional and global trade flows. The engagement offered insight into how established processors in West Africa structure their activities and support consistent supply to international markets.
