The U.S.-Africa Trade Desk was proud to co-exhibit with MCT Midlands Commodity Trading Company at AFEC 2026, held from 15–16 July at the Safari Park Hotel in Nairobi.

This marked USATD’s first participation in the Africa Feed Exhibition and Conference, and we were pleased to be part of one of the region’s leading platforms dedicated to advancing the animal feed and livestock sectors.

AFEC 2026 brought together feed manufacturers, producers, commodity suppliers, nutrition specialists, technology providers and industry stakeholders to exchange knowledge, explore innovative solutions and strengthen the commercial relationships needed to support a more productive and sustainable regional feed industry.

Over the two-day event, the USATD and MCT teams engaged with businesses from across Kenya and the wider East African market to gain a deeper understanding of regional sourcing requirements, identify supply gaps and explore how reliable U.S. agricultural commodities, technologies and expertise can support African market demand.

The exhibition provided an excellent opportunity to move beyond discussions and develop practical pathways toward bankable transactions that increase U.S. agricultural exports, strengthen African agricultural, manufacturing and livestock value chains, and create meaningful economic opportunities on both continents.

We would like to thank everyone who visited the MCT Midlands Commodity Trading Company stand to meet our team, exchange ideas and explore opportunities for future collaboration.

We look forward to building on the relationships established during AFEC 2026 and continuing to develop practical trade partnerships between the United States and Africa.
